Doing things with our planet in mind is at the heart of everything we do at Jacob's Bagels.

At Jacob's Bagels, our commitment to sustainability is a fundamental aspect of our business philosophy. We firmly believe that preserving our planet's health and well-being is crucial, and this belief underpins everything we do. We recognise that our actions have an impact, and we strive to minimise any negative impact by taking proactive steps towards sustainability. From sourcing organic, locally produced ingredients to repurposing unsold bagels into bagel chips, we approach every aspect of our operations with our planet in mind. Our ultimate goal is to create a sustainable business model that balances economic success with environmental responsibility, leaving a positive impact on our planet for generations to come.

This is our 5 point Sustainability Policy

1. Sourcing Sustainable Ingredients: We will source organic, local, and seasonal ingredients as much as possible to reduce our carbon footprint and support local food systems. We will prioritise suppliers who share our values of sustainability and ethical production.

2. Reducing Food Waste: We will minimise food waste by carefully managing inventory, using surplus ingredients creatively, and repurposing any unsold bagels into bagel chips.

3. Energy and Resource Conservation: We will strive to reduce our energy and resource consumption by using energy-efficient equipment and practices, reducing packaging waste, and recycling and composting whenever possible.

4. Continuous Improvement: We will regularly assess and improve our sustainability practices and policies to ensure that we are continuously moving towards a more sustainable and responsible business model.

5. Promoting Sustainable Practices: We will educate ourselves, employees and customers about our sustainability policies and encourage them to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.

By adopting these principles, we hope to create a sustainable business that not only benefits our customers but also contributes to the well-being of our planet.
